Plate cleaning
A thorough non abrasive cleaning through a series of chemical dip tanks remove the build up of various matter & water deposits, restoring plates to a renewed efficiency
Crack detection & Dye Penetrant Testing
During the plate heat exchanger crack detection process each plate is subjected to the Dye Penetrant test. This will detect any cracks or corrosion. Plates are also thoroughly inspected for fatigue, pitting and any other irregularities. Plates are put through our NDT crack detection service, that can detect a pin hole in the plate as small as 3 microns. It is the same crack detection method as used in the aircraft industry.
Gasketing
Gaskets are clipped or glued to the plate using the recommended material & adhesives then oven cured & checked for alignment.
